Controller – Finance Operations Lead

About the role

Dhar Mann Studios is seeking a hands‑on Controller to own the integrity of its accounting operations and financial reporting. This senior‑level position will shape finance processes in a fast‑moving digital media studio, ensuring accurate, timely information for leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage core accounting functions: general ledger, AP/AR, payroll reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, and month‑end close.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial statements, close packages, reconciliations, and supporting schedules in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Design and enforce a disciplined close process with clear timelines, ownership, and review standards.
• Establish strong internal controls, approval workflows, and finance operating procedures.
• Provide real‑time production finance support, including per‑video budgets, cost reports, and cost‑per‑video analysis.
• Oversee 13‑week cash forecasting, AP/AR aging, and short‑term cash flow visibility for leadership.
• Maintain accounting system integrity across QuickBooks, payroll platforms, GreenSlate, and related tools.
• Partner with HR and Operations on payroll reconciliations and labor‑related accounting.
• Lead audit readiness and manage internal and external audit processes.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team, setting clear performance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading accounting operations in a high‑growth environment.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve root‑cause issues.
