About the role
The Control Center Operator I supports daily monitoring and operation of Convergent’s energy storage and solar assets. Working remotely or in a hybrid setting, the operator creates trouble tickets, escalates issues, and collaborates with field technicians to maintain plant performance and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily assessments of asset status and generate trouble tickets for investigation.
- Manage asset dispatch according to platform directives and real‑time data.
- Monitor weather, solar irradiance, demand‑response requests, and predictive demand to adjust operations.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance with field technicians.
- Operate switchgear, start/stop equipment, and follow approved operational procedures.
- Respond to alarms, unsafe conditions, and emergency situations per Emergency Response Plans.
Required profile
- Authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
- Foundational understanding of power‑plant components, energy dispatch strategies, and monitoring practices.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply SCADA systems, energy storage, and PV solar technologies.
- Strong attention to safety, regulatory compliance, and procedural adherence.
