Contractor Sales Representative

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a Canadian-owned manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is looking for a Contractor Sales Representative based in Northern California (Sacramento). The role develops and grows IKO sales with distribution customers, including frequent contact with roofing contractors, remodelers, builders and architects, and manages territory pricing, product presentations and customer accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop relationships and grow sales with customers in your territory.
• Frequently contact roofing contractors, remodelers, builders and architects to drive demand.
• Present products to qualified end users on a weekly basis.
• Perform product knowledge training sessions with customers.
• Submit weekly intelligence reports on time.
• Manage customer accounts and account receivables balances and deductions.
• Organize and execute a business plan to meet territory sales goals and customer needs.
• Use approved sales and marketing tools within budget.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a strong asset.
• Willingness to consider relocation for future opportunities.
• Attention to detail, professional attitude and commitment to task completion.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Travel of up to 80% may be required.
