Contract Prescribing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (1099)

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates, which partners with Lyra Health, a mental health care provider, is hiring a contract Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Trenton, NJ. The provider delivers evidence-based, whole-person mental health care through live 30-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-ups, conducting psychiatric evaluations and managing medications. The work is performed as a 1099 contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health medication management through a 60-minute intake appointment and regular follow-ups
• Conduct mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations and longitudinal medication treatment
• Build patient-centered treatment plans, document recommendations, message patients and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Refer patients to evidence-based therapy and coaching alongside your care
• Deliver culturally responsive care to children, teens and young adults

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited CCNE Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program, or an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with PANCE certification; preference for a psychiatry certificate, fellowship or MD with a psychiatry concentration
• Unrestricted state license and a minimum of 2 years in practice
• Strong preference for an active DEA license
• Preference for providers with additional certification or clinical experience with minors
• Own office space in Trenton where clients can be seen in person
• Ability to treat a wide range of diagnoses, complexities and severity levels, with a preference for in-person options
• Full-time U.S. resident
