Contract Logistics Manager

About the role

Genentech is looking for a Contract Logistics Manager to manage the end-to-end Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle for gRED Contract Operations, driving efficiency across financial operations. The role sits in a collaborative team whose insights shape spend forecasting and process optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full PO lifecycle from contract execution to invoice processing and financial tracking using global procurement platforms.
• Ensure accurate recording of cost centers, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and internal accounting codes so spend and accrual totals are precise.
• Support decisions on functional and project variable cost spend with clear data points.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation and streamlining in a fast-paced contracting environment.
• Foster asynchronous collaboration across global research, procurement, shared services and finance teams.
• Partner with international affiliates to improve inter-company billing and cross-functional PO workflows.
• Advise stakeholders and leadership on future spend forecasting from executed contracts and operational metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Accounting or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to guide stakeholders through process improvements.
• Strong analytical ability: interpreting operational data, monitoring KPIs and drawing clear conclusions.
• Experience in process design, including workflow maps and user guidance documentation.
• Adaptable, questioning the status quo and open to new ways of working.
• Preferred: 5 years of relevant experience.

What we offer

• Expected salary range of $112,100 - $208,300 for the California location, depending on experience, qualifications and location.
• A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
