Contingent Worker – Coding Support

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Contingent Worker to provide support to its coding team. This position is part of UAMS's effort to maintain high‑quality clinical documentation and billing processes while ensuring a safe, collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the coding team with assigned tasks, including data entry, record verification, and documentation review.
• Support the preparation and submission of coding reports as directed.
• Maintain compliance with UAMS policies, including vaccination requirements and legal work‑authorization verification.
