About the role
The Content and Social Media Specialist reports to the Marketing Manager and is responsible for strengthening Pomerleau’s brand presence across digital platforms. This role blends strategic planning with hands‑on content creation, capturing on‑site moments and turning them into engaging stories for a national audience.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute organic social media strategies for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other channels.
- Participate in site visits, events, and internal meetings to generate original visual and written content.
- Create, write, and publish platform‑specific posts that align with brand voice.
- Monitor performance metrics, optimize content based on trends, and report results.
- Manage online communities, respond to interactions, and support crisis communication.
- Train internal stakeholders on best practices for social media.
- Track competitor activity and industry trends to identify new content opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop storytelling initiatives showcasing projects and teams.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing social media channels.
- Fluent in both French and English with strong writing abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and interpret performance data.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is an asset.
