Construction Superintendent – Luxury Custom Residential

About the role

We are a high‑end builder delivering architecturally sophisticated luxury homes in the Vail Valley. The Construction Superintendent will lead field operations on 1‑2 custom residential projects, overseeing everything from mobilization through warranty.

Key responsibilities

• Full field leadership on projects valued $3M‑$20M, managing daily site operations and subcontractor coordination.
• Develop and maintain overall project schedule and rolling two‑week look‑ahead plans.
• Conduct proactive design reviews, flagging constructability issues before field execution.
• Ensure quality control by enforcing plans, specifications, building codes, and finish standards.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and cost reporting in partnership with the project manager and accounting.
• Maintain clean, organized, professional job sites that reflect well to clients, neighbors, and inspectors.
• Serve as the primary on‑site liaison with clients, architects, and inspectors.

Required profile

• 7‑10+ years in construction, including 5+ years as a superintendent on high‑end custom homes or similarly complex projects.
• Proven track record delivering projects from pre‑construction through certificate of occupancy and warranty.
• Deep knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, building codes and high‑end finishes.
• Experience with mountain or cold‑weather building (snow loads, moisture management, steep sites) preferred.
