Construction Superintendent – Healthcare Projects

About the role

Clark’s Alpena office is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field execution on healthcare projects across Northern Michigan. You will manage daily construction activities inside occupied medical facilities, ensuring patient care continues uninterrupted while maintaining strict infection‑control and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily execution in occupied healthcare facilities.
• Coordinate phasing around clinical operations to minimize disruption.
• Enforce ICRA and infection‑control protocols.
• Manage trade sequencing, schedule adherence, and on‑site logistics.
• Maintain documentation, daily reporting, and weekly trade coordination meetings.
• Drive quality closeout, inspection readiness, and final punch‑list completion.
• Build strong relationships with facility operations teams and stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a Superintendent, preferably in healthcare construction.
• Strong MEP coordination capability.
• Deep understanding of infection‑control and phased work in occupied facilities.
• Disciplined leadership in 24/7 environments with a commitment to safety.
• Proficiency with Phoenix, ProjectSight, and Bluebeam.
