Construction Superintendent – Commercial Projects (Central Michigan)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects across Central Michigan. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure that each jobsite runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards from mobilization through closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and craft labor to align with plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Develop field priorities, execution strategies, and look‑ahead schedules to meet project milestones.
• Enforce safety standards and company policies, stopping work when necessary to prevent accidents.
• Monitor quality and compliance, addressing deviations promptly.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, quality inspections, change notices, and material logs.
• Review subcontractor pay applications and assess change order requests for budget impact.
• Lead site meetings and communicate progress to owners and stakeholders.
• Track delivery, inspect, and manage storage of equipment and materials on‑site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational and process‑development skills with a track record of implementing effective workflows.
• Solid understanding of construction and engineering operations and the flexibility to adapt to evolving tools and methodologies.
