Construction Project Manager – Military Projects (West Coast)

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead military design‑build projects on the West Coast, based in Monterey, CA. You will oversee all phases from conceptual design through final completion, ensuring alignment with RQ Construction’s mission, vision, and values.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of fast‑track commercial and governmental design‑build projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources from concept to closeout.
• Coordinate field operations teams on‑site and collaborate with architects, engineers, and DoD stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting using industry‑standard software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 + years experience in commercial project management.
• 6 + years experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in construction.
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30‑hour certifications (training can be provided).
• Preferred: STS certification, LEED GA or AP/AP+ credential.
