Construction Project Manager – K‑12 Schools (Michigan)

About the role

Clark is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead K‑12 school construction projects across Southeast Michigan. The role oversees renovations, additions and new builds, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget while schools remain occupied.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day execution from pre‑construction through close‑out.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in partnership with Superintendents.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts and cost‑control measures.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Conduct weekly trade coordination meetings and enforce safety protocols for occupied buildings.
• Maintain communication with district stakeholders and mentor Project Engineers and Coordinators.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience with K‑12 or other occupied‑building projects preferred.
• Strong scheduling and financial management discipline.
• Clear communication skills with public‑sector clients.
• Proven ability to lead field and office teams.
