Construction Project Coordinator

About the role

Speedwell Construction is looking for an organized, dependable, and team‑oriented Project Coordinator to support its construction teams in Matthews, NC. The role bridges project managers, field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring project documentation is accurate and processes run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, meeting minutes, start‑up and close‑out documents.
• Provide administrative and clerical support to project teams, including front‑desk duties.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain required documentation.
• Track change orders and distribute updates to relevant team members.
• Assist with project accounting by entering invoices into the accounting and job‑cost system.
• Sort, prioritize, and distribute incoming and outgoing materials.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Initiative‑taking, adaptable to changing project needs.
• Team‑player who takes ownership of work.
• Experience in a fast‑paced office environment, preferably within construction.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Viewpoint software.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
