Construction Inspector – Public Works

About the role
The City of Branson is seeking a Construction Inspector to ensure that public works projects—including streets, bridges, water and sewer lines, and sidewalks—are built to the highest quality standards. You will work onsite, reviewing plans, monitoring materials, and supporting capital improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect public works construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Monitor and verify the quality of concrete, asphalt, soils, and aggregates through testing and documentation.
- Assist with capital improvement projects by reviewing plans, tracking progress, and preparing reports.
- Promote field safety by reviewing traffic control plans and ensuring ADA accessibility.
Required profile
- Minimum two (2) years of direct experience with utility or street construction, evaluation, repair, rehabilitation, or inspection.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and high‑quality workmanship.
