Construction Inspector

About the role

Artheon is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our team working on projects located in New Jersey for various state and regional agencies. The role involves inspecting heavy highway, bridge, and road projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Observe work in progress to ensure procedures and materials strictly adhere to project specifications, including paving, drainage, and structural elements.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, maintain logs of materials used, and document workforce or equipment quantities.
• Monitor work zones for proper safety measures, enforce MPT and OSHA regulations, and address unsafe or environmental conditions.
• Assist Resident Engineers with processing submittals, tracking pay items, and approving monthly estimates of completed work.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in heavy highway construction.
• Certifications such as NICET II, ACI Field Grade I, NJSAT, and Rutgers TCC.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and familiarity with agency electronic record systems (Site Manager, CapEx).
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel to and from job sites.
