Construction Helper

About the role

Moore Industries is seeking a motivated Construction Helper to support a variety of industrial, commercial, and residential projects in Hackberry, LA. The role involves hands‑on assistance with material handling, formwork, concrete work, and equipment operation on fast‑paced job sites.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated work areas.
• Install and remove concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete and asphalt.
• Assist heavy‑equipment operators by securing attachments and signaling movements.
• Help align pipes and perform related installation tasks.
• Grade earth to fine specifications using rakes and shovels.
• Participate in demolition activities and remove rubble using hand tools and wheelbarrows.
• Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers.
• Feed and tend to construction equipment such as mixers, compressors, and pumps.
• Direct traffic around construction sites as needed.

Required profile

• 2 years of construction experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• TWIC and DISA certifications.
• Ability to work a 10‑hour day shift (6 am–4 pm).
• Physical stamina for manual labor and lifting.
