Construction Estimator

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Estimator to oversee residential and commercial loss projects related to insurance claims, including construction and repairs. The role works closely with all departments to provide accurate estimates, scopes of work, and project budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Contact adjusters, property managers, and referral sources to support projects and receive loss assignments.
• Prepare accurate scopes and estimates, obtain approvals, and assist with project design and budgeting.
• Coordinate with mitigation and construction staff, sub‑contractors, vendors, and project managers on‑site as needed.
• Monitor job costs, create budgets, track collections, and manage change orders and supplements.
• Maintain documentation in job management systems and ensure professionalism in workmanship, safety, and homeowner relations.
• Assist with invoicing, billing, and the transition of projects from estimating to production.

Required profile

• Experience in the restoration industry and construction, preferably with sales and project management background.
• Proficiency with computers and professional correspondence.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel out of town if required.
• IICRC certification preferred (training provided for the right candidate).

Required skills

• Experience using Xactimate for estimating.
• Strong computer proficiency.
