About the role

The Concessions Cook at The Mann Center prepares and cooks food items that deliver high quality taste and appearance, satisfying guests and maximizing food revenues. The position is part of Legends, a global agency that provides planning, sales and hospitality solutions for professional sports, collegiate, attractions, entertainment, international and convention clients.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and practice all established health and sanitation procedures.
• Prepare, hold and serve products at the correct temperatures, with proper rotation, labeling and dating.
• Use the right utensils and portions, and keep the work area clean, sanitized and organized.
• Keep management informed of food quantities and quality in prep, on the line and in holding cabinets.
• Coordinate orders so they are cooked on time and accurately, and help restock paper supplies and food items.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as set out in the Employee Training Manual, and follow sanitary practices for food handling and kitchen/serving area maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, and may be assigned to work multiple stations during a shift.
• Assist other positions when needed and perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of experience in food preparation in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to communicate verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors, and to follow written and oral directions.
• Able to work under pressure and independently.
• Preferred: SERVSafe and City of Philadelphia Food Safety Personnel Certificate.
