Concessions Bartender

About the role

Legends, a hospitality agency covering professional sports, collegiate, attractions, entertainment, international and convention events, is hiring Concessions Bartenders for Arizona Financial Theatre. Bartenders provide positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, take beverage orders from restaurant servers or directly from guests, and serve drinks in line with company standards
• Mix cocktails and other bar beverages using high-quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs and spices
• Serve wine, explain its characteristics, evaluate guests' needs and suggest appropriate options using proper wine service techniques
• Check guest identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase
• Handle an assigned bank, collect payments, balance receipts and follow cash-handling procedures
• Work with the culinary team to create mixers and garnishes, and serve food items to guests seated at the bar
• Keep the bar area stocked, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions, and stay organized and clean
• Attend mandatory meetings, perform general cleaning and follow health and safety standards

Required profile

• At least two years of experience as a bartender
• Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously and to work independently or in a team
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
• Personable, friendly and welcoming; ability to listen to and follow supervisor directions
• Working email to communicate with managers

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of drink recipes and the ability to create and serve drinks on time
• Extensive knowledge of wines
• Ability to read, speak and write English
• Knowledge of menu items and promotions
