Concessions Bartender

About the role

Legends, a hospitality agency covering professional sports, collegiate, attractions, entertainment, international and convention events, is hiring Concessions Bartenders for Arizona Financial Theatre. Bartenders provide positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, take beverage orders from restaurant servers or directly from guests, and mix drinks and cocktails to order in line with company standards
• Use high-quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs and spices to create drinks for guests
• Serve wine, giving information on its characteristics, evaluating guests' needs and making appropriate suggestions with proper wine service techniques
• Check guest identification to verify age requirements for alcohol, collect payment, balance receipts and handle an assigned bank following cash-handling procedures
• Work with the culinary team to create mixers and garnishes, and serve food items to guests seated at the bar
• Keep the bar area stocked, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions, and stay organized and clean, including sweeping, vacuuming and dusting
• Organize catering storage areas, attend mandatory meetings and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• At least two years of experience as a bartender
• Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously and to work independently or in a team
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette; personable and friendly
• Ability to read, speak and write English and to remember and promote menu items
• Working email to communicate with managers

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of drink recipes and ability to create and execute signature drinks
• Extensive knowledge of wines
• Ability to serve drinks in a timely manner
• Personal hygiene and well-groomed appearance
