Composite Technician

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking a Composite Technician to join its manufacturing team. You will work on the shop floor building advanced composite aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB, including fuselage sections and wing spars.

Key responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, pre‑fit, and bond metal, composite, or laminate components according to engineering specifications.
• Cut parts or materials to size and operate autoclave, hydraulic presses, and ovens for bonding cycles.
• Sanding, burr removal, and surface finishing of bonded areas.
• Apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges and perform rework or repair as needed.
• Monitor and verify quality in line with controlled procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed engineering and manufacturing instructions.
• Willingness to learn and apply job‑training provided by the company.
• Attention to safety and quality standards on a high‑precision production line.
