About the role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking an AmeriCorps VISTA to support its Amplifying Client Voices project. This role will help integrate refugee client feedback into IRC programs, produce communications materials, and build a sustainable client ambassador program.
Key responsibilities
- Create and distribute a monthly external newsletter and regular social‑media posts highlighting client stories and opportunities.
- Identify and design client engagement strategies, including a client feedback method, survey model, and selection process.
- Draft a proposal to embed client feedback into IRC programming and present findings to staff.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) that incorporate the feedback mechanism for long‑term community impact.
Required profile
- Prior experience or strong interest in community engagement and communications.
- Prior experience or strong interest working with refugees and immigrants.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Fluency in English.
