Community Assistant – Union on 6th – Student Living

About the role

We are looking for a Community Assistant to support the Union on 6th student‑living community in Tucson. The role assists the property management team with leasing, marketing and resident services to help achieve occupancy and retention targets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties in the leasing office such as copying, filing resident files, preparing notices and organizing rent payments.
• Support sales and leasing efforts by conducting virtual tours, responding to online inquiries, greeting and qualifying prospects, and showing apartments.
• Prepare lease paperwork and maintain resident lease files.
• Assist with move‑in and move‑out processes, including mandatory “turn” dates and coordinating with the Community Manager.
• Answer incoming calls, schedule prospect appointments and conduct on‑campus marketing outreach.
• Coordinate resident events, distribute communications (flyers, newsletters, surveys) and handle after‑hours resident emergencies, with at least one on‑call shift per week.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and customer‑service orientation.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including mandatory move‑in/move‑out dates and on‑call shifts.
• Ability to communicate courteously with residents and prospects.
