Communications Manager (Remote, East Coast)

About the role

Opal is seeking a Communications Manager to amplify its mission of helping people focus better through healthier technology use. You will work directly with the CEO and collaborate with marketing and leadership to shape the brand narrative.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute inbound media, partnership, and communications opportunities.
• Build and nurture relationships with journalists, creators, schools, companies, researchers, and organizations.
• Develop and implement a communications strategy that positions Opal as a leading brand in digital wellbeing.
• Collaborate closely with the marketing team on social, brand, and content initiatives.
• Coordinate bi‑annual travel to Europe for team meetups and strategic events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communications, public relations, or media relations.
• Strong storytelling ability and a passion for digital wellbeing.
• Self‑starter who can create processes from scratch and thrive in a fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
