Communications Coordinator

About the role

The Communications Coordinator will support DLA Piper’s brand by creating and distributing compelling public‑relations content. You will work closely with attorneys and business professionals to ensure the firm’s messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Write, edit, and publish press releases that highlight firm achievements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets.
• Monitor media coverage, compile regular reports, and analyze metrics to assess campaign effectiveness.
• Provide day‑to‑day PR support, including scheduling media calls, conducting ad‑hoc research, and proofreading materials.
• Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a similar role.
• Background in professional services or legal environments is preferred.
• Exceptional writing and editing abilities for diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with attorneys and business professionals.
