Communications Associate

About the role

Discord is looking for a Communications Associate to support and scale corporate storytelling across the company. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, you will bring clarity and structure to fast‑moving communication projects and help shape how Discord presents its platform, policies, and overall story.

Key responsibilities

• Organize team structure and communications workflows, improving internal processes and operational organization.
• Coordinate with internal partners and cross‑functional teams on media inquiries, press requests, and project timelines.
• Maintain and update talking‑points documents, messaging resources, and other internal communication materials.
• Manage external agency relationships and day‑to‑day coordination.
• Track media opportunities, coverage, and ongoing communications priorities.
• Support the development of press materials, Q&As, briefing documents, and messaging.
• Ensure projects move forward in high‑volume, multi‑stakeholder environments.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in communications, either in‑house or agency.
• Strong organizational and operational instincts with the ability to manage complex workflows.
• Collaborative team player who can navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and fast‑moving situations with good judgment.
• Resourceful, quick‑moving, and able to deliver high‑quality work.
• Familiarity with Discord and/or gaming culture is a plus.
