Commercial HVAC Service Technician – Charleston, SC

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing service team in Charleston, SC. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of complex commercial HVAC systems while delivering top‑notch customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment including DX systems, packaged water‑cooled units, water‑source heat pumps, CRAC units, gas‑fired and electric heating systems, pneumatic/electronic/DDC controls, air handling units, and VAV systems.
• Perform equipment startups, verify operation, and monitor performance using gauges, controls, and instrumentation.
• Adjust valves, pumps, and controls to optimize efficiency and conduct preventative maintenance such as coil cleaning, fan‑belt replacement, and duct cleaning.
• Install electrical wiring, connect HVAC components, and complete startup services for newly installed equipment.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate job status with dispatch throughout the day.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and clean work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (required).
• Minimum 4 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on commercial equipment and controls.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation for emergency service.
