Commercial Contracts Manager – Data Center Construction

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Contracts Manager to join its Data Center EPCM construction teams across the United States. The role supports the commercial function throughout the program lifecycle, from procurement and contract strategy to risk management and commercial close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to review commercial terms, Subcontractor Teaming Agreements and Prime Agreements.
• Develop, implement and maintain contract management procedures in line with company policy.
• Conduct contract handovers and deliver change‑order training for project staff.
• Review contract documents to eliminate ambiguities and minimise scope conflicts.
• Assist in reviewing sub‑contracts for construction, design and engineering services.
• Administer prime contracts, flow‑downs, task orders and modifications.
• Monitor subcontract performance, ensuring compliance with schedules, HSE requirements and deliverables.
• Validate potential change orders with the Change Manager, verifying labor hours, costs and schedules.
• Support the Commercial Management Lead in risk identification, watch‑list maintenance and mitigation of contractual risks.
• Track EPCM portfolio compliance with risk‑management policies and coordinate with regional Risk Management Directors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial contract management within EPCM or construction environments, preferably data‑center projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement, schedule management, supply‑chain coordination and cost verification.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams such as Safety, Design, Engineering, Project Controls and Delivery.
• Experience managing risk registers, enterprise‑risk approvals and compliance monitoring.
