Collision Customer Specialist – Automotive Aftermarket

About the role

The Collision Customer Specialist joins 3M’s Automotive Aftermarket Division to drive sales of 3M products within the collision repair market across Northern Alabama and Northeast Mississippi. You will work closely with internal teams and external customers to deliver solutions that solve everyday challenges in the automotive repair industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sales efforts for all 3M product portfolios targeting the collision repair segment.
• Implement sales programs, plans, and policies in alignment with your supervisor.
• Determine call priorities, frequencies, and patterns to maximize productivity.
• Support headquarters, regional, and zone campaigns and initiatives.
• Create business plans for end‑users and provide tailored solutions.
• Track and measure all sales activity using 3M’s CRM tool.
• Utilize a company vehicle for customer visits, subject to motor‑vehicle history review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of sales and/or automotive aftermarket experience in a private, public, government, or military setting.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Financial acumen and technical knowledge of automotive repair.
• Strong relationship‑building and competitive mindset.
• Excellent organization, self‑starter attitude, and time/territory management skills.
• Experience in adjacent markets (industrial, marine, aerospace, etc.) and with digital solutions such as inventory management.
• Background in manufacturing or distribution sales and product demonstrations.
