Collections Manager

About the role

Loews Financial Service Center in Nashville is looking for a Collections Manager to provide direction and leadership in a high-volume financial shared services environment supporting hotel properties across North America. The manager leads a team of Collections Coordinators and Senior Collections Coordinators, liaises with hotel leaders and keeps aged receivables to a minimum.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily billing and collections operations, including advance and final deposits and post-event receivables, in line with contractual payment terms
• Oversee Collections Coordinators so that service levels, productivity standards and collection goals are met
• Manage aged accounts receivable reporting and drive timely collection of outstanding balances to support cash flow
• Resolve billing disputes and delinquent accounts with clients and hotel teams, and act as the main contact for complex collection issues
• Develop, recommend and monitor payment plans for delinquent accounts, and coordinate collection agency referrals with full documentation
• Monitor workflows, KPIs and collection metrics, and hold regular meetings with hotel leadership on receivables and collection strategy
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting best practices, and drive continuous improvement
• Hire, train, coach and evaluate team members

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of billing and accounting/collections experience
• Preferred: Business Administration or Accounting degree
• 2-5 years of customer-facing work in hospitality or finance, 1-2 years supervising a team, 5 years' experience with collections
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change and meet deadlines
• Good communication, confidentiality and teamwork skills

Required skills

• Standard and intermediate spreadsheet functions in Microsoft Office
• General knowledge of mathematics and accounting principles
