Collections Manager

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Collections Manager. The manager supports their region(s) in meeting cash collections objectives, works with national, retail and strategic account portfolio managers to remove obstacles to client payments, and advises on collections escalations and AR reporting. The role may involve outside collection agents and other divisions of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Chair and facilitate biweekly accounts receivable conference calls with regional operational teams
• Provide guidance on collecting amounts receivable and collections escalation protocols
• Develop and deliver WinTeam training on invoicing and Domo business intelligence reporting
• Follow up with operational team members and help resolve outstanding issues
• Give weekly client status updates to senior management
• Resolve payment issues directly with clients when needed
• Work with outside collection agents on assigned corporate collection clients
• Assist Treasury Cash Applications in posting payments or corrections and researching unapplied payments and billing issues
• Compile monthly bad debt reserve items for analysis of "At Risk" clients
• Assist with hiring and training new Collection Managers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
• At least five years of related accounts receivable experience with progressive managerial responsibilities
• Ability to take initiative, handle multiple competing assignments and meet deadlines
• Good independent judgment, professional demeanor and strong oral and written communication skills
• Preferred: five or more years of billing and collection experience

Required skills

• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
• Use of office management technology

• Salary range of $80,000-$95,000
