COBRA Analyst

About the role

Luminare Health is hiring a COBRA Analyst, working from home. The analyst oversees the entire COBRA client and member experience, including benefit elections, payments and reporting for COBRA, FMLA, retirees and LOA (company leave program) participants. The role handles inbound and outbound calls from clients, members and third-party affiliates, as well as email and fax communications.

• Manage email and fax communications

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 year of COBRA, FMLA, LOA and retiree administration or coordination experience
• Knowledge of federal, state and company leave programs
• Understanding of administration system processes (premium administration, eligibility, claims, billing, commissions, reporting)
• Professional customer service experience
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Preferred: PowerStepp, JD Edwards
• Preferred: in-depth knowledge of COBRA laws, HIPAA portability and eligibility laws, and Social Security and Medicare law
