CNC Field Service Technician

About the role

Haas Factory Outlet Trident, the exclusive distributor of Haas Automation CNC machine tools and rotary products, is looking for a team-oriented, ambitious CNC Field Service Technician for its Massachusetts territory. The technician travels to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
• Use machine tool manuals, technical documents and vendor resources to research machine issues
• Document the status of machine issues, repairs and installations accurately and submit reports to the office and the customer
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance, and provide after-sales technical support and training
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and the company's product lines

Required profile

• Experience repairing diesel engines, generators, automotive, industrial machinery, HVAC, EDM/Laser/Waterjet/CNC machines; Haas CNC repair background is a plus
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
• Excellent customer service, technical, communication and presentation skills
• Flexible hours and frequent travel, including driving throughout the New England region
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance and to work in industrial environments while wearing PPE
