CNC Field Service Technician

About the role

HFO Midwest, a regional distributor of CNC machine tools, tooling and accessories and related engineering and support services, is looking for a CNC Field Service Technician. The technician travels to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls, and provides after-sales technical support and training.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
• Use machine tool manuals, technical documents and vendor resources to research machine issues
• Complete and submit accurate documentation on the status of machine issues, repairs and installations
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance and provide after-sales technical support and training
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and the company's product lines

Required profile

• Experience repairing CNC machine tools; a Haas CNC repair background is a plus
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics is beneficial
• Excellent technical, communication and presentation skills
• Flexible hours and frequent travel, including driving across a regional territory
• Able to lift moderate to heavy material up to 100 lbs. with assistance, and to work in industrial environments while wearing PPE
