CNC Field Service Technician

About the role

Precision 360, a division of Morris Group, Inc. (a third-generation, family-owned machine tool distributor serving manufacturers of precision machined parts), is hiring a CNC Field Service Technician in Naples, Florida. The technician travels to customer sites to repair and maintain Tsugami machine tool equipment, controls and related components, providing on-site service.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
• Identify areas for performance improvement and carry out preventative maintenance.
• Detect and resolve electrical and mechanical component issues using manuals, technical documents and vendor resources.
• Communicate machine issues and repair/install status to customers and complete service and install reports.
• Maintain supplier and vendor relationships and attend meetings, seminars and training.
• Stay current on product lines, vendor products and new technology.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED from a technical school required; associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 100% of the week, including overnight trips.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and work in industrial settings with PPE.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance and to work in tight spaces and on equipment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with precision measuring equipment (dial indicators, micrometers).
• Experience with CNC controls and precision rotating machinery, spindles and bearings (optional).
• Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics; ability to read drawings.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft software skills as needed.
