Club Utility Steward

About the role

The Club Utility Steward (Dishwasher) will support the Food & Beverage Culinary Department at Makena Golf & Beach Club, ensuring all kitchen and dishwashing areas meet sanitation standards and are ready for member use.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, wash dishes, china, flatware, and kitchen vessels.
• Sweep, mop, and clean kitchen floors, walls, and equipment areas.
• Set up china, glassware, and silverware for all outlets daily.
• Maintain chemical safety logs and proper storage of cleaning agents.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with opening/closing procedures.
• Report maintenance or hazard issues to the Executive Chef.

Required profile

• Minimum three months experience in a high‑end restaurant, resort, or private club.
• Culinary degree/certification or relevant on‑the‑job experience preferred.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and long hours as needed.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including standing >8 hours and lifting up to 50 lb.
