Cloud Solutions Architect

About the role

Beyondsoft, a mid-sized business IT and consulting company with offices across four continents, is looking for a senior, hands-on and client-facing Cloud Solutions Architect in Plano, Texas. The architect designs, builds, implements and supports secure and scalable cloud solutions, works directly with clients to turn their needs into solution architectures, and takes part in building and deploying them. The position is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy and support scalable and secure cloud solutions
• Lead client technical discussions, discovery sessions and solution design
• Develop architecture designs, implementation plans and technical documentation
• Build and automate cloud infrastructure using IaC, scripting and CI/CD
• Configure and integrate cloud services, networking, security, identity, monitoring, APIs and automation
• Design and implement AI and generative AI solutions, including LLMs, RAG, AI agents, APIs and data integrations, and build AI proofs of concept
• Troubleshoot complex cloud, application, integration and deployment issues
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to engineering and delivery teams
• Evaluate and implement new cloud, AI, automation, security and monitoring technologies
• Support technical proposals, SOWs, solution demonstrations and estimates

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• 8+ years designing and implementing large-scale, secure and highly available cloud infrastructure and solutions
• 3+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure work on AWS; Microsoft Azure experience preferred
• 3+ years designing CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and QA/testing workflows
• 2+ years implementing Infrastructure as Code and server provisioning automation
• 3+ years with Linux administration, server automation and scripting
• Strong communication and client-facing skills

Required skills

• AWS and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild and CodeDeploy
• IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef or similar
• Python, including AI-powered applications, APIs and automation
• Git, Bitbucket or Subversion and Agile development
• Generative AI: LLMs, RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering, and platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock or Amazon SageMaker
• Preferred: LangChain, LangGraph or Semantic Kernel, production AI deployments, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or equivalent certification

What we offer

• Pay of $145,000 - $155,000 depending on experience
