Clinical Therapist – Substance Use Disorder Treatment

About the role

The Clinical Therapist provides person‑centered therapy to individuals, families and groups in a trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented substance use disorder treatment center. Working onsite at Renewal Falls Recovery Center, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support client safety, stabilization and long‑term recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments using DSM‑5 criteria.
• Develop, implement and regularly update individualized treatment plans aligned with ASAM criteria.
• Provide individual, group and family therapy employing evidence‑based modalities such as CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing.
• Respond to crises and ensure client safety according to facility policy.
• Document therapy sessions, progress notes, treatment plan reviews and discharge summaries in compliance with Medicaid, payer and licensing standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case consultations and care coordination activities.

Required profile

• Licensed behavioral health professional (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) authorized to provide therapy.
• Experience conducting assessments, developing treatment plans and delivering therapy in a trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented setting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, adhere to ethical guidelines and produce accurate clinical documentation.
• Strong collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.
