Clinical Technician - Medical ICU

The G50/G51 Medical Intensive Care Units (MICU) deliver critical care and a range of procedures. As a Clinical Technician you will assist with basic patient care, maintain room cleanliness and demonstrate empathy in all interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient care under RN supervision, including taking vital signs, weight, personal hygiene, point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes and applying monitoring devices.
• Report any abnormal findings or changes in a patient’s physical, mental or emotional condition to the RN.
• Maintain a clean and orderly patient room environment, including removal of urinary catheters and general housekeeping.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross, obtained upon hire or within the new‑hire period.
• At least one year of recent full‑time patient‑care experience, or completion of a clinical rotation in an accredited nursing program, or equivalent military medical experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Point‑of‑care testing proficiency.
