Clinical Supervisor (Part‑Time, 6‑Month Contract)

About the role

The Clinical Supervisor II is a part‑time, six‑month contracted position (≈20 hours/week) providing both clinical and administrative supervision to a team of clinicians, case managers and practicum students. The role includes direct service work, a small client caseload, and hands‑on coaching to ensure high‑quality mental health care for children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise up to six post‑master’s unlicensed clinicians and up to two case managers, practicum students or licensed therapists, providing weekly group and individual supervision.
• Review and approve clinical documentation (progress notes, assessments, care plans) for accuracy and compliance with DMH and Medi‑Cal/EPSDT requirements.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of new clinical staff.
• Provide on‑call after‑hours crisis support and cover clinical duties during supervisee absences.
• Support supervisees toward licensure by certifying weekly hours and evaluating skills.

Required profile

• Licensed in California as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW with at least two years of experience.
• Minimum two years recent supervision experience of AMFTs, ACSWs, APCCs or practicum students in community mental health.
• Clinical experience with children in field‑based settings (in‑home or school) and knowledge of trauma‑informed care.
• Ability to work onsite two to three days per week.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an electronic health record system, preferably Exym.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
