Clinical Research Data Specialist

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth department of SCCC seeks a Hybrid Full‑Time Clinical Research Data Specialist to support research studies in Miami, FL. The role involves creating, updating, and maintaining research charts, case report forms, and regulatory documentation under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.

Key responsibilities

• Extract clinical and research data from electronic medical records and enter it into paper‑based or electronic data capture systems for assigned studies.
• Manage study workloads, answer data queries, schedule monitor visits, and ensure patient cases are ready for monitoring.
• Develop source data worksheets, maintain logs (TAS submissions, Velos, etc.), and compile patient data for eligibility review.
• Participate in site initiation visits, monitoring visits, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain study binders, filings, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience; no prior experience required.
• Strong learning agility, teamwork orientation, and clear written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications for data entry and management.
