Clinical Research Coordinator - Psychology

About the role

The Department of Psychology at the University of Miami seeks a full‑time Clinical Research Coordinator to support Dr. Sannisha Dale’s SHINE Research Program. The role focuses on HIV prevention and treatment studies, mental health, and health‑equity initiatives within marginalized communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate participant visits, data collection, and survey administration for multiple research projects, including a randomized control trial targeting Black women living with HIV.
• Manage field and outreach activities, schedule community events, and liaise with local partners, businesses, and health organizations.
• Handle administrative tasks such as participant communication, consent processing, grant expenditure tracking, and event logistics.
• Create and maintain study databases and surveys using REDCap, and process payments or honorariums for community partners.
• Travel to Miami neighborhoods to engage predominantly Black residents and LGBTQ+ participants.

Required profile

• Demonstrated interest or experience in psychology, mental‑health, HIV, health equity, or behavioral medicine research.
• Experience working with Black and LGBTQ+ communities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse participants and team members.

Required skills

• Proficiency with REDCap for survey design and data management.
