Clinical Research Coordinator (Entry Level)

About the role

The Department of Medicine at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Clinical Research Coordinator 1 (A) to support simple clinical research protocols on the UHealth campus. This entry‑level position provides hands‑on experience in data management, participant coordination, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform chart reviews and pre‑screen participants for eligibility.
• Maintain enrollment procedures and coordinate study visits, appointments, and schedules.
• Collect, enter, and maintain study data while tracking timelines.
• Assist the principal investigator with adverse event reporting and protocol deviation documentation.
• Support regulatory and quality oversight activities, including audit responses and corrective actions.
• Conduct informed consent discussions and ensure proper documentation per GCP and IRB requirements.

Required profile

• Entry‑level experience or academic background in clinical research or a related health field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
