Clinical Manager Sleep DME

About the role

The Clinical Manager Sleep DME leads patient care and operational oversight for the sleep durable medical equipment program at Lehigh Valley Health Network. This role combines clinical expertise, staff mentorship, and resource management to ensure high‑quality sleep therapy services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct staff training on CPAP device programming, including pressure settings, ramp, humidification, and documentation.
• Manage clinical operations, business and financial planning, and quality‑improvement projects.
• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for CPAP device setup and provide direct patient care when needed.
• Perform functional tests and quality checks on devices before dispatch.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CRT required at hire; RRT within 1 year).
• Minimum 1 year experience in Sleep Medicine, home health, hospital, or physician office setting.
• Knowledge of CPAP/NIV disease processes, PAP adherence, pressure adjustments, and mask fitting.
• Understanding of applicable regulations and American Academy of Sleep Medicine standards.

Required skills

• CPAP and NIV device configuration and troubleshooting.
• Respiratory therapy certification (CRT, RRT).
• Billing and remote‑monitoring charge capture (preferred).
• Strong verbal communication and critical‑decision judgment.
