About the role
Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician to join a U.S. Government‑supported medical facility in Japan. The position is full‑time, on‑site, with one opening in Iwakuni and another in Yokosuka. The technician will perform a wide range of laboratory analyses supporting military and civilian health services.
Key responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, microbiology, and blood banking.
- Collect patient specimens by venipuncture and prepare them for analysis.
- Operate and maintain automated instrumentation and manual testing equipment.
- Enter and retrieve test orders and results using systems like CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, and the Clinical Information System (CIS).
- Document results, maintain logs, and ensure proper specimen transport and waste disposal.
- Participate in Quality Control (QC) and College of American Pathologists (CAP) programs and comply with Joint Commission standards.
- Provide training and guidance to supporting personnel such as corpsmen and students.
Required profile
- Eligible to work in Japan under a U.S. Government contract (no H‑1B sponsorship).
- Experience performing routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests.
- Ability to obtain specimens via venipuncture and handle biological samples safely.
- Willingness to work on‑site in either Iwakuni or Yokosuka.
- U.S. citizenship or appropriate work authorization for W‑2 employment.
