Clinical Faculty – Pediatrics Hepatology Transplant

About the role

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks a pediatric gastroenterology/hepatology physician to join its clinical faculty. The role involves providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients, including those before and after liver transplantation, across outpatient and inpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct outpatient care to pediatric patients, including pre‑ and post‑transplant management.
• Provide inpatient care for pediatric patients at Holtz Children’s Hospital/Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami.
• Participate in multidisciplinary transplant conferences, rounds, and the weekly Pre‑Transplant Selection Committee.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors.
• Prescribe medications, perform physical assessments, and document care in accordance with medical staff regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in undergraduate and graduate medical education activities.

Required profile

• Physician with expertise in pediatric gastroenterology/hepatology and transplant care.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a tertiary care setting.
