Clinical Data Scientist (Remote)

About the role

Latica is building a community data network and clinical AI platform to unlock the value of healthcare data. As a Clinical Data Scientist you will lead end‑to‑end medical research projects, transform unstructured EMR data into actionable insights, and support protocol design for life‑science clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead medical research projects with top‑tier life‑science companies.
• Explore EMR data, extract clinical features, and apply LLM‑based feature engineering.
• Support clinical protocol design from data and feasibility perspectives.
• Perform statistical analyses and present results via dashboards, publications, and presentations.
• Develop cross‑client pipelines and build diverse patient cohorts to enrich Latica’s data catalog.

Required profile

• 5+ years as a Data Scientist or similar analytical role, with at least 3 years in healthcare.
• Experience in client‑facing roles with pharmaceutical or life‑science companies.
• Strong analytical, research, and business acumen; self‑motivated and collaborative.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Deep familiarity with EMRs and coding systems such as CPT and ICD‑10.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) preferred.
• Knowledge of Large Language Models, data pipelines, R, Pandas, and statistical analysis.
