About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Surgery is seeking a full‑time Clinical Business Operations Representative 3. The role supports daily clinical operations by handling patient intake, managing calls, and ensuring accurate documentation. It serves as a liaison between patients, providers, and the clinical team throughout the bariatric surgery journey.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls by the fourth ring, triage inquiries, and document messages.
• Obtain and verify patient demographic, insurance, and referral information.
• Review clinical records for completeness, including authorizations and signatures.
• Schedule appointments for multiple surgeons and APRNs, manage rescheduling for no‑shows and clinic closures.
• Coordinate bariatric surgery logistics: anesthesia clearance, labs, PCP visits, and surgery dates.
• Provide patients with education, answer questions, and support use of Care Credit for payment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant administrative or clinical support experience.
• Strong data‑entry accuracy and ability to organize and analyze information.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
