Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing – Hybrid Position

About the role

Texas A&M International University seeks a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing for a hybrid, non‑tenure‑track, 12‑month faculty appointment supporting its online Master of Science in Nursing program. The role combines online instruction with periodic on‑campus immersive labs.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to 15 semester credit hours per semester in graduate and/or undergraduate nursing courses.
• Supervise and evaluate student progress in coursework and clinical experiences.
• Develop, implement, and assess curriculum and course materials.
• Participate in college and university committees and advise students.
• Travel to Laredo for five to six on‑campus visits per academic year, including labs and faculty assemblies.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate in nursing (ABD acceptable if completed before appointment).
• Master’s degree in nursing.
• Minimum five years of clinical practice as a registered nurse/APRN.
• Minimum five years of teaching experience in nursing education.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Texas and required APRN certifications.

Required skills

• Experience with online, distance, or hybrid delivery methods in higher education.
• Ability to develop and maintain community and healthcare partnerships.
