Clinical Application Administrator

About the role

Scan.com is building a national imaging network that connects patients, providers and payers to faster, higher‑value diagnostic imaging. As a Clinical Application Administrator you will keep our HL7 and DICOM integrations running smoothly, ensuring imaging orders and results flow without delay.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain active HL7 interfaces (ORM, ORU) to ensure accurate, timely transmission of orders and results.
• Analyze HL7 message segments (PID, PV1, OBR, OBX) to diagnose failures and reprocess messages.
• Perform daily production support tasks such as report reprocessing, data corrections, and study transfers.
• Manage the support ticket queue across Slack, Linear and HubSpot, ensuring clear ownership and documentation.
• Lead technical deployment and configuration of DICOM and HL7 gateway software for new imaging‑center onboarding.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, clinical and client support teams to resolve integration issues and implement long‑term fixes.
• Document processes, issue resolutions and configuration changes to build a reliable knowledge base.
• Identify automation or workflow improvement opportunities and manage small‑scale projects end‑to‑end.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of HL7 v2 message structure and common message types (ORM, ORU).
• Familiarity with integration engines such as Mirth Connect or Rhapsody.
• Understanding of PACS, RIS or EHR systems and the radiology workflow from order to results.
• Basic knowledge of DICOM concepts and experience validating imaging studies.
• Strong organizational instincts and ability to manage multiple concurrent issues.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Experience in healthcare IT or clinical systems support is strongly preferred.
